Command Access lets you update sharing permissions across multiple Smartsheet assets at once. Use it when adding or removing a user from a large number of sheets, reports, dashboards, or workspaces.
Prerequisites
- A Solution Manager account.
- Assets must be owned by users within your plan.
- To transfer ownership, you must be the Owner of the asset.
Viewing collaborators on a single asset
- Click Command Access from the Solution Manager home screen.
- Select a single asset from the workspace panel.
- The Sharing panel on the right displays current collaborators.
- From here you can add a collaborator, change permission levels, or transfer ownership.
Updating permissions across multiple assets
- Click Command Access from the Solution Manager home screen.
- Select all assets you want to update.
- Enter the email address of the user you want to add or remove.
- Select the permission level, or select Unshare to remove the user.
- Click Submit.
- Review the summary and click Continue to confirm.
Troubleshooting
A user was not updated on some assets. Command Access only applies to assets owned by users within your plan. Assets outside your plan are skipped.
I cannot transfer ownership of an asset. Ownership transfer is only available when you are the current Owner of the asset.
