Scan your entire plan for existing data

Use Heimdall DLP's scanning feature to identify existing sensitive data or estimate scan size before running a full scan.

If you want to identify specific data types that already exist, or estimate the size of your Smartsheet plan before a full scan, use Scan for Sensitive Data.

  1. Navigate to the Scan for Sensitive Data screen.
  2. Select specific data types or pre-existing rules to scan.
  3. Optionally, choose to include attachments. Scanning attachments increases data usage.
  4. Click Start Scanning. A modal appears with options:
    • Estimate Data Usage: See estimated data usage before incurring scan costs. Results are emailed upon completion.
    • Full Scan: Perform a complete scan. A CSV is generated with flagged data details upon completion.
  5. Check your email for scan results. Processing time can range from 15 minutes to up to a week, depending on plan size.
